How Ohwait works

Ohwait is organized around one practical question: what product appearance direction deserves the next design, production or sales decision?

The shortest useful loop

  1. 1. Start with a product boundary

Type a category, add constraints, upload references, or begin with Random Inspiration.

  2. 2. Compare six directions

Ohwait generates a 3x2 board so you can judge routes instead of staring at one isolated image.

  3. 3. Select and continue

Choose a design, activate a profile or assets, then let Oi help decide the next useful step.

How Ohwait works

Ohwait is not built as a blank image generator. It collects intent, active design context, Design Profile, selected assets and the current design stage, then sends the right image or text task downstream.

  • The bottom input remains the main execution input.
  • Oi helps clarify stage and next actions.
  • Tool workflows are useful shortcuts, not mandatory paths.

First design run

For exploration, Ohwait defaults to a 3x2 board. Even if the idea sounds like one product, early design work usually needs options that can be compared.

  • Use Random Inspiration when the brief is weak.
  • Use constraints when the product boundary must be respected.
  • Use references when the model must see a real visual input.

Selecting a design

After a board is generated, selecting a single option or the full board becomes the active design context. Follow-up edits should respect that active object unless you explicitly switch it.

  • Single design selection is best for variants and edits.
  • Whole-board selection is best for comparing or summarizing routes.
  • If nothing is selected, Ohwait uses the latest relevant generation as a fallback.

Constraint locks

Constraint locks are hard boundaries such as product type, material, season, user group or channel. They are different from creative inspiration sources.

  • Product category should stay fixed in normal exploration.
  • Creative mode can use cross-category inspiration while preserving the target product.
  • Short inputs like “open-top hat” are treated as product identity signals.

Design Profile

Design Profile stores private company taste. Product design language guides product form and CMF; brand design language guides sales visuals, layout, logo and brand color usage.

  • Product images help extract Visual DNA.
  • Brand images help extract sales and presentation language.
  • Custom rules capture factory, channel or brand constraints.

Asset Library

Assets are selected image inputs, such as supplier materials, components, products, packaging references or brand imagery. Enabled assets are treated as stronger context than casual visual references.

  • Organize assets by folder or tag.
  • Select assets across folders before generation.
  • Asset recognition helps the system understand role and use.

Oi assistant

Oi is a lightweight design assistant that watches the current stage. It asks whether you are satisfied, recommends next actions and turns selected cards into executable tasks.

  • Design stage focuses on direction, variation and refinement.
  • Production stage starts from a clear product reference.
  • Sales stage asks for platform, audience, selling point and visual type.

Production communication references

Production outputs are communication references, not final engineering files. They help teams discuss proportions, details, material areas and visible structure before formal engineering work.

  • Use them to align with factories and suppliers.
  • Review all exact dimensions with your production team.
  • Generate only after the product direction is clear.

Sales visuals

Sales visuals should start from a selected product or uploaded product reference. Brand language, logos, colors and assets affect how the product is presented, not whether the product identity should drift.

  • Clarify platform and buyer before generating.
  • Use brand assets when sales material must feel consistent.
  • Let Oi turn vague sales needs into specific visual tasks.
